For all of you who have or are thinking about getting a copperband butterfly fish , heres a little tip that on the first day in my tank i got him to eat bloodworms , clams , mysis , brine, and even pellets!

Heres what i did , If you think about it what do they do when they eat in the wild? Pick at liverock for mini feather dusters right? So why would you try to make them eat stuff floating in the water? All I did was take a syringe and sucked up which ever food I feel like feeding that day and with a modified piece of airline tubing on the end of the syringe "squirt" the food directly into the little holes and crevases in the liverock , that way It can eat like it would in the wild and not have to compete with the rest of the not so shy fish.

This is only from my personal experience but it worked the first day mine was introduced into my tank, so those of you who are having trouble "weening" your CBB try this and give this beatiful fish a better chance , maybe we can increase their dismal mortality rate. Not trying to say its 100% proven works everytime cause I just don't know , but couldn't hurt to give it a chance...
